Filosofia is home sick this week so in lieu of all of the fun stuff I should be seeing, eating, and thinking about in Berlin, may I instead present you will some of the highlights of what I was seeing, eating, and thinking about the last time I was here.

    And Buck House doorknobs

    So long Bullocks Wilshire Building and your awesome light inlays

    And farewell to you, Perloff Hall

Ode to Los Angeles Part I: Farewell Food

    Don't think I won't miss you, Los Angeles...

    When your beaches look like this in January.

    And your berries are ripe all year long....

    In this great city, so fraught with contradiction...

    there is indeed much to love.

    So before I go, I must tip my hat to some of my favorite things and places.
